Both are proud to be supporting independent Canadian Fashion Designers; which, the products in the boutique are designed and made in Canada. When asked, in their Mother-Daughter interview, Why they choose to only carry Canadian designed and Canadian made products, the duo responded, "We feel that 'designed in Canada' is not the same as 'made in Canada.' Canadian Fashion has often been over looked or misunderstood when it comes to uniqueness, style, and affordability", ( Deborah Richardson and Jessica Elliot, owners of The Velvet Room Boutique).
Not only does the boutique support Canadian Talent, most importantly, the savvy mother-daughter team know that in the "Real World" not every woman is a super model size 2.
